I'm a big sister now!

It's very hard to believe, but I am a big sister now!  On February 20, Devlin James joined our family.  I'm a wonderful big sister, screaming "Hey Baby" at the top of my lungs while gently patting his tummy and going into Devlin's room when he's napping to talk to him.  Mommy seems to frown upon me visiting him during his naps, but I know that Devlin really likes it.  Love, Joey





Last day with Debs...

In January, Debbie moved away and ended her role as Joey's nanny.  Joey and Debbie adored one another so the last day was incredibly sad for all of us.  We wish Debbie all the best and hope that she comes back to visit from time to time.

The 2012 Holiday Season

We definitely weren't great about snapping pictures during this holiday season, but our lack of pictures doesn't equate to how great the days were.  Here are a few shots from Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas.

Blue Ridge

In November, we visited the Blue Ridge mountains for a relaxing weekend away with friends.  We were excited to have a new friend join us, the adorable Sawyer Duncan.  Even before Sawyer's arrival, Carson was practicing her big sister skills on Joey.  She's always looking out for her, showing her new toys and explaining the key toddler trends.  We look forward to more fun mountain trips in the future!



Happy Birthday!

It's hard to believe that Joey is already a year old and set to become a big sister.  To celebrate her first trip around the sun, we had a small birthday party with a few close friends and family.  Despite having a large cake all to herself, she did minimal damage which may be proof that having a sweet tooth isn't genetic.

As usual, she was spoiled with fabulous gifts.  Mom has been begging for a new car for years, and Daddy bought Joey one for her first birthday!

Trick or Treat

Who knew that dinosaurs and elephants roamed the earth together?  Well, on this Halloween they did!  Thanks to Angel, Ken, Hudson and Carter (aka Dino) for hosting a fabulous trick-or-treat event.



Searching for the Great Pumpkin

Last fall, we made our inaugural trip to the pumpkin patch with our great
friends - Cuyler, Stephanie and Carson Duncan.  They had been before and showed us the ropes which included shopping through large to small and orange to blue pumpkins as well as enjoying a great hayride.  We look forward to taking the trip again this coming fall with the latest additions to each our families.
